christmas karate course in sheffield

Bob Hague sensei played host to Martyn Skipper and John Kobierowski for an intimate end-of-year course at his private dojo in Sheffield. Bob started proceedings with an examination of Tekki / Naihanchi kata and its applications in close-quarter combat. John introduced the class to Kibadachi no kata, including the uchi-mawashigeri or inside roundhouse kick. Martyn continued the kibadachi or shikodachi theme with an alternative interpretation of kata Naifanchi and its applications in grappling, seizing and throwing.
A sweaty, vigorous course was concluded with a tour of Sheffield’s Kelham Island bar district.
